Health Care Advocacy

 

Clients that do not have insurance meet with the Health Care Advocate who interviews them to gather the data needed to assist them in enrolling in Health Care District medical insurance.  The Healthcare Advocate works as a case manager and assists clients in scheduling doctor appointments, providing transportation to procedures (as needed), and obtaining prescriptions.  Emergency housing is provided for clients requiring short term respite care.
