Sister Carleen Cekal, SSND - Director of St. Ann Place since it opened in November 2003, has 20 years of experience as an educational administrator. Her effectiveness as team member is a quality that describes her leadership style. Sister Carleen drew on her volunteer experience in St Louis and Baltimore shelters for homeless women to fashion the program at St. Ann Place.
Sister Mary Oliver Hudon, began her ministry at St. Ann Church in 2001, where she and Sr. Carleen opened a Community Services Office to provide for the needs of poor people in the area. She was a co-founder of St. Ann Place, where she now oversees development activities.
Ms. Marsha Burkhardt - Associate Director since 2004, serves as the Center’s Data Manager, a skill she brought with her from her years of experience at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. In addition to coordinating the volunteer program, Marsha meets with clients to assess their needs and makes referrals to other agencies as needed.
Ms. Fran Maher - Associate Director moved from an interim position managing the Health Care program to serve as an Associate Director in the Fall of 2011. She is responsible for interviewing clients and making referrals, as well as serving as one of the staff who has been trained as a Community Partner to enroll clients in the Food Stamp program.
Sister Patricia Leonard, OP - Associate Director has full-time responsibility as the Health Care Advocate. Prior to St. Ann Place, she served as Director of Social Services at a non-profit agency in Chicago with experience in case management, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention services.
